What is a shoe tree?

Shoe trees are inserted into shoes to help maintain the shoe's original shape, and aid in minimising creases and cracks. They also have the added advantage of absorbing moisture and odours.

Shoe trees are made of selected materials, usually cedar-based. Although cedar shoe trees are more expensive, there are several advantages:

- They tend to last longer.

- If a pair of shoes have not been worn for a long time, the leather tends to shrink. Using shoe trees will help to maintain the shoes' shape and size.

- Shoe trees can also absorb and prevent moisture accumulation in the shoe lining, making your shoes more comfortable to wear.
